  1. Any recommendations for $300 or under that’s not junk and is more than decent for the price?

  2. I’ve just hit 66 and struggle to keep up with technology. Current laptop is an old Surface Book I bought ex display because I liked the idea of a removable screen. I never actually take the screen off and have it on a laptop table attached to a Stressless recliner (as you do) plugged into the wall but the touchscreen is useful. I have vision issues and can quickly enlarge areas with my fingers without having to think how else to do it!
But it’s as sluggish as me now with a yellowing screen so am on the hunt for a new one.
I want lots of ports. I use a mouse as easier, being arthritic, to rest over it. I want to buy an external CD writer so I can dig out all my old CDs and mix favourite tracks onto a new one. I read somewhere that Surface book USB ports aren’t powerful enough to do that so I’m really confused as to what to buy. I’ll stick with Windows and browse with Google Chrome.
Can’t decide whether to go for another touchscreen or make do with a quality non-touch.
Most reviewers seem to dis-regard people like me and I now get how my parents felt 40 years ago when technology was running away from them while I was buying cameras and hi-fi stuff. 😀
But I’ll follow you and appreciate the advice re what kind of quality/storage etc you can expect to find for up to £1K which is probably around my range. Thanks.

  3. I have a 1 TB external hard drive that isn’t usb-c can I use this with a windows laptop I also use music production software what is the best windows laptop for this great channel thank you
